Laurence Ross holds Degrees in Law from Warwick University and University College, London.  He has been a solicitor for over 25 years specialising in civil litigation of all descriptions.  For many of those years he was in partnership in Central London.

Seeking a new challenge from life as a partner in the City of London and bored with the travelling, he now works within his local community.

The result is all the knowledge and experience of a City solicitor but without the attendant costs.

From Laurence Ross's elegant offices in Radlett, all clients receive his personal attention, however large or small the matter. Not only does he live and work in the locality, but he is also selective about the cases he takes on. 

Turning some cases away helps to ensure clients whose cases are being handled never need feel neglected. We make sure we can take prompt action and meet deadlines on our clients’ behalf.

Good solicitor client relationships are based upon many factors such as ability, trust, respect, good communications and ease of contact. We prioritise these and endeavour to ensure a client never feels neglected, ill-informed or pushed aside. 

Once a case is accepted its overall conduct is never delegated away. Clients know Laurence Ross will deal with their affairs and receive copies of communications when they happen. We always try to tightly control costs and are transparent in our charging.

We will discuss with clients the various ways a case can be funded and which can include both before and after the event insurance, contingency fees (in limited cases only) conditional fees, fixed fee and hourly rate charging.

Clients are always welcome to speak to Laurence Ross about any aspect of their case at any time.  We aim to answer the telephone within 3 rings. When we cannot do so a message can be left on our Answer Machine and we will endeavour to return to your call at the earliest opportunity.

Being a sole practitioner does not prevent Laurence Ross from being part of a team, whether:

• coordinating with the client’s own professional team in more complex matters
• working with Barristers instructed from leading specialist Chambers
• engaging carefully sourced expert witnesses
• liasing with his Consultants

Contacts made by Laurence Ross throughout his legal career give him back up and support from both sides of the legal profession - particularly from the Bar and those supplying litigation support services to lawyers.
