Litigation > Matrimonial
In this important area we are committed to providing prompt, sensitive and practical advice to our clients. We are prepared to seek the cooperation of the other side in reaching agreement on all matters as speedily, amicably and cost effectively as is possible in the particular circumstances whilst always recognising the need to act firmly and decisively.
We deal with pre-marital and cohabitation agreements, separation and divorce including all matters affecting children and all the procedural and financial issues consequent on marriage breakdown. We advise on all aspects of financial settlements such as the division of matrimonial assets including the home, savings and pensions, maintenance and child support.
We also deal with disputes between couples living together. The law treats unmarried partners very differently from married couples and it is important to understand the distinctions when entering into a cohabitation relationship.
Laurence Ross is a member of the Solicitors Family Law Association.
